Ray Lewis delivered a speech before the Stanford Cardinals 2012 semifinal game. I've got to say, I got a little choked up toward the end. If you don't you're probably either totally ok with being mediocre or are already living out greatness and this is old-hat to you.
My favorite lines from the speech are:
"Wins and losses are dime-a-dozen, but effort, nobody can judge effort. Because effort is between you and you."
"Every day is a new day. Every moment is a new moment. You've got to show them you're a different creature, now, than I was five minutes ago. Cause I'm pissed off for greatness. If you ain't pissed off for greatness, that mean's you're ok with being mediocre."
BTW, the Cardinals won this game 74-64, then won the entire tournament.
